As usual, Jordan Brand will be releasing a diverse range of the Air Jordan 5 throughout the year. Next week will see the launch of the "Sail" version, and a "Black Cat" version is expected to hit shelves later this year. These different versions are highly anticipated.
Next year will mark the pair's 35th anniversary, so it seems obvious that 2025 will be a pivotal moment for the Air Jordan 5, especially since a new rumor from zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files has indicated that its OG "Black Metallic" colorway will be making a comeback in style.
This design was first released in 1990 with re-releases in 2000, 2007, 2011 and 2016, not to mention a low-top version in 2020.
The "Black", "White", "Metallic Silver" and "Fire Red" color combination has been confirmed, however, its specific details have not yet been disclosed. The photograph in illustration is of the 2016 pair.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not confirmed the possible return of the "Black Metallic" colorway of the Air Jordan 5.
We still expect it to hit shelves via Nike and the SNKRS app as well as select retailers at a potential price of $210 USD.
