Collaborations between luxury houses and streetwear brands have become a major part of sneaker culture in recent years and almost the norm.
Virgil Abloh contributed immensely to this space during his tenure as artistic director at Louis Vuitton.
With his background in streetwear and his impressive catalog with Nike and Off-White™, the late designer took the world by storm by launching his elusive Louis Vuitton X Nike Air force 1.
With the collection, which is set to expand, the French brand has just given us a glimpse into the manufacturing of the shoes.
Louis Vuitton has released a short video and image gallery that shows how one iteration of the white monogram was prepared. The detailed shots include everything that was used to get the shape of the shoes in order, the various components of the premium calfskin upper as well as how the parts were assembled.

The capsule will include two mid-cut pairs and seven low-top versions. White monograms and black suede monograms are included in the collection, as well as two-tone styles that pay homage to Abloh’s rainbow motif.
Additionally, a metallic gold iteration comes to life as a nod to its debut collection. 
A Damier edition that is furnished with a graffiti theme created by artist Ghusto Leone completes the lot.
The prizes will be €2,500 for the mid and €2,000 for the low.
