After having already teamed up on the ultra-limited Puma "Clyde" pair in February, Extra Butter and Puma are doing it again on the same silhouette with a new "NYC" colorway to mark the model's 50th anniversary.
The Puma "Clyde" was first introduced in 1971 as Walt Clyde Frazier's signature shoe. Frazier wanted both high and low tops and wore a different colorway for each game.
To achieve this, the "Clydes" were originally made of suede to make them easier to dye. After the rights to the "Clyde" name expired, the shoes were renamed Puma "Suede".
The upcoming pairs happen to be made of premium white leather uppers with grey suede mudguards.
“City Worn” stripes are found on the sides, embossed vintage subway token graphics decorate the tongue, and “A New York City Story - by Extra Butter” labels are stitched on the inner tongue.
Rubber soles featuring "NYC" branding complete the pair.
