While the 1906R has been a major New Balance release of late, it looks like the brand is set to pass the baton to the New Balance 1000 this year.
The 1999 design made a comeback for its 25th anniversary via Joe Freshgoods' "When Things Were Pure" pack last month ahead of its online release in late April.
As Aimé Leon Dore designer Teddy Santis continues to unveil collaborations with New Balance, we get our first look at two new reflective designs of the New Balance 1000.
The two new reflective variants feature the silhouette's signature elements; a sculpted sole, sleek shape and branding elements such as "N" logos on each side and a "1000" lettering on the front of the shoe.
Looking closer at the black pair, it features a purple to orange to yellow gradient on its tongue and between its overlays.
As for the overlays themselves, they appear black before turning purple when they reflect light.
On the other hand, the silver pair features a monochromatic construction enlivened by reflective overlays as well, simply brightening its appearance instead of changing color.
Both variations of the New Balance 1000 are expected to release in 2024 via New Balance and at select retailers for $150 USD.
