Michael Jordan's illustrious career was shaped and developed by many different coaches, from high school to the professional level, but none were as unique as Phil Jackson.
Jackson coached the Chicago Bulls from 1989 to 1998 and implemented meditation sessions. Buddhism and other spiritual practices heavily influenced the pair's Zen-like approach.
The pair was unveiled as part of Jordan's Spring 2022 collection.
Instead of using the traditional nubuck material for the upper, Jordan uses a canvas material and styles it with tie-dye patterns all over in an “Amethyst Wave” mix.
Solid black patches are spread across various areas such as the exposed mesh, linings, tongue patches, midsole lace molds and Jumpman insignia at the rear.
The lateral "wings," forefoot eyelets and heel counters are made of a translucent TPU material, and a touch of "Bright Crimson" appears on the Jordan logos on the tongue.
The pair will be available at Nike for $210 on March 19!
