After publicly highlighting the actions of his now former brand partners Adidas and GAP, Kanye West has announced his desire to sail solo.
In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg, the artist designer confirmed that after the conventional termination of the contracts between him and the aforementioned brands, he wants to invest even more effort in the creation of his future products.
Kanye West told Bloomberg reporter:
"It's okay. I made companies money. Companies made me money. We created ideas that will change clothing forever." he adds "It's time for me to go it alone."
Statements that might indicate that Kanye doesn't want to stop there and develop new industries on his own.
However, with the distribution contracts being valid until 2026 for Adidas and until 2030 for GAP, there should still be a lot of releases around Yeezy sneakers and GAP clothing.
Later in the interview the artist announces a unique concept, a Donda campus project across the United States that will host schools, businesses, farms and dormitories.
He now wants it to be the hub of commerce for Yeezy-designed products.
In addition, his Yeezy supply website should continue to be updated or a collection is planned in less than 5 days.
Ye also ended the interview by teasing a future GAP collection.
