Over the past few years, Nike has been keen to celebrate Halloween with sneaker releases. Last year for example, the Dunk Low featured “Scream Green” accents joining “Phantom” details in a subtle yet perfectly Halloween-themed version.
This year, the Nike SB team is joining the party with a “Candy Corn” rendition of its SB Dunk High. Previously previewed in a leak, the pair of shoes has finally been officially announced.
For Halloween 2023, Nike has prepared a “Sweet Tooth” colorway that takes the appearance of candy corn – a typical American treat usually consumed during the Halloween period.
Its upper features a gradient effect that goes from white at the toe, to orange in the midfoot and yellow around the heel.
Orange swooshes highlighted in a mustard hue recall the theme. The tongue on its inner side contains a warning stating “Warning! Do not Take Candy from Strangers”.
Various candy corn-inspired elements, such as bite marks on the toes and the outer tongue displaying a demonic candy corn, give the pair a perfect Halloween finish.
To complete the pair, the insole displays an all-over print with the famous candy corn spread throughout.
This variation of the SB Dunk High is expected to release by the end of the month via the SNKRS app and at select retailers.
